About

Hello! I’m Boston, a software engineer and designer in Toronto.

I started early: my first computer at 13, my first website on GeoCities shortly after. A love of games took me through animation arts at Seneca College and into professional work building them at Koei and XMG Games.

A few years in I realized the web was the work I actually wanted. I turned the hobby into a business and spent eight years growing Pomelo Design, a boutique studio building websites and apps for startups and small businesses. I later moved in-house with teams at Instacart, Iotum, and Mix Space, where the problems were larger and the systems had to hold up.

These days I’m a senior software engineer at Instacart.

Outside of work: food, travel, gaming, and investing. Toronto summers are for backyard BBQ, cycling, and day hikes; winters are for cooking, baking, and restoring my Victorian-era Parkdale home.
